Terms
Terms for Bankable Deal services
Plain-language terms for the Deal Screen and the other services on this site. Last updated October 7, 2026.
Who you are dealing with
Bankable Deal is a service of The CFO Analyst. The work is done personally by Sergei Mochtchenkov, CFA. Payments are processed by Stripe for The CFO Analyst, and your card statement shows THE CFO ANALYST.
What a Deal Screen is
A pre-LOI read of one business you are considering buying, based only on the documents you provide (usually the CIM, the seller's P&L and tax returns). It includes an earnings recast; each add-back marked supported, partly supported or not supported by those documents; an estimate of the SBA 1.25× coverage test on historical cash flow; a price range supported by the stated cash-flow and financing assumptions; red flags and questions for the seller; and a 30-minute call.
What it is not
- Not an audit, review or other attest service, and not a quality of earnings report.
- Not a business valuation or appraisal for SBA or any lender's purposes.
- Not a lending decision or a guarantee that any loan will be approved, at any price.
- Not legal, tax or investment advice. Speak to your lawyer, tax adviser and lender.
The screen relies on the documents you provide and does not verify them independently beyond the checks it describes. Results are estimates that depend on the assumptions shown, which your lender may set differently.
Fit check, timing and capacity
By paying you accept these terms. Within one business day of payment Sergei confirms the deal is a fit: a business priced around $1M–15M with roughly $300K–3M in SDE or EBITDA, and enough documents to say something useful. He then confirms the scope for your deal in writing (the business, the documents, the start date); if that confirmation differs from this page, it governs. The Deal Screen is delivered within 3 business days of complete documents. Sergei takes two screens at a time; if both are taken, you get a start date, and a full refund if it doesn't work for you.
Refunds
- If the deal isn't a fit, your documents aren't enough to start, or the start date doesn't work for you, you get a full refund before any work begins.
- If you think the delivered Deal Screen wasn't useful, tell Sergei within 14 days of delivery and you get a full refund. You may keep the report.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with through Stripe.
Other services
Bankability Diligence, sale-readiness reviews, fractional CFO work and other services are scoped in a short written engagement letter before you pay. If that letter differs from this page, the letter governs.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, total liability for any engagement is limited to the fee you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Confidentiality
Sergei is the only person who works on your deal. He will sign your NDA, or a joinder to the seller's NDA, before you send sensitive documents. Files are kept in a private cloud folder and deleted 90 days after delivery unless you ask to keep them longer. See the privacy note for storage providers, backups and records the law requires us to keep.
Fees from others
Fees come only from you. No success fees, and no payments from lenders, brokers or the seller on your deal. Where SBA rules require it, fees for loan-package work are disclosed to your lender on SBA Form 159.
